Old Sacramento Historic District
The Old Sacramento Historic District near McClellan RV Park, is a neat place to visit while you stay in our secure, gated community. The many attractions are sure to please you and your family!
The Old Sacramento Historic District
The district is located downtown and bordered by Interstate 5, Capitol Mall, and the Sacramento River. Old Sac as it is sometimes called, hosts more than 125 boutique shops intertwined among gold rush era buildings on the boardwalk. The shops sell art, gifts, souvenirs, and much more.
There are also museums, multiple restaurants, and our favorite, the Sacramento Waterfront!
The Old Sacramento Waterfront
This waterfront is the real deal as evidenced by the fact that it is registered as a historical landmark. The area abounds with things to do including riverboat rides, a railroad excursion, a horse carriage ride as well as gold tours.
The dock boasts unparalleled ambiance with great views of the river and the bustling activity all around. If there is a river, there must be boats, right? Hornblower Cruises and Events-River Cruises will take you on a river cruise, an alive after five cocktail cruise, as well as on a rock the yacht cocktail cruise!
The Sac Brew Boat is a popular 16-passenger, pedal-powered party boat that also cruises the Sacramento River.
The Delta King Riverboat provides an exciting glimpse into the past of a floating hotel, restaurant, and entertainment venue that explores the history of river travel between San Francisco and Sacramento through an awesome restoration of the historic vessel.
